Reputation and Regulation In many ways the Internet is still the Wild West, an unsettled frontier. There are few laws that govern the Internet and that is the beauty of the Internet, it is an unfiltered source of information. However, long gone are the days where everyone is up in arms about making purchases over the Internet. There have been enough regulations in place and enough reputable businesses involved in ecommerce that people do most of their holiday shopping online. Online casinos are quickly approaching that point, although they are not quite there. The one thing holding online casinos back is the regulations part; at least in the United States. There are still a few untrustworthy online casinos out there looking to scam people and if those companies get a hold on your money there is no one in the United States that a consumer can complain to. However there are several online casinos in operation that have splendid reputations. And even though they are not regulated by the United States other major countries have licensed and regulated them. The reputation of these companies alone is a lot to go on. They are not interested in jeopardizing their business for the sake of a few thousand dollars from one player when they are making millions by running a legit and trustworthy enterprise. It would be nice if they United States finally get on board regulated online casinos, if for nothing else the protection of consumers, but there are several long standing online casinos legally licensed and approved by other countries that are more than ready to serve your online gambling needs. |
